Community feel for shared breakout space

The building has a strong community feel with the lower floors dedicated to co-working. An impressive communal feature of the building is “The Pavillion” on the top floor designed by office interior specialists, Sheila Bird Group. This breakout space is open to everyone in the building and boasts a rooftop terrace with stunning panoramic views across Manchester’s skyline.

When choosing a premium coffee machine for the communal area, the iPad-controlled TopBrewer was the obvious choice to provide freshly-roasted coffee and other refreshing drinks in an innovative and streamlined way.

Key features

  • Barista-quality, personalised coffee
  • Hot water for tea
  • Chilled still and sparkling water
  • Touchless operation including voice control
  • Automatic cleaning throughout the day

TopBrewer stood out as an eco-friendly coffee machine with lots of smart energy-saving features.

From a design perspective, the TopBrewer looks smart and is all about bringing tribes together over fantastic coffee which fits in nicely with the community-feel of the space.

Smart & Sustainable

Smart coffee for a smart building

Windmill Green's TopBrewer and accessories are finished in matt black (one of the first of its kind in the UK) to complement the stylish interior. With the TopBrewer app, tenants can enjoy a personalised coffee whilst enjoying the fabulous Manchester views.

As well as its sustainability credentials, Windmill Green is also one of the smartest buildings in the country. It has recently been awarded a WiredScore of “Platinum” due to its excellent digital infrastructure. The smart and connected TopBrewer has its own cloud-management system called CoffeeCloud that provides access to realtime data, insights and alerts to make managing the coffee facilities hassle-free.

TopBrewer boasts a number of sustainable features which fit well into the ethos of the building. Examples include:

  • Power-saving standby mode
  • No hot water boiler
  • No harmful milk-line cleaning chemicals
  • Made with recyclable stainless steel
  • Sustainably-sourced coffee beans
  • Less disposable coffee cup waste

I love the customisation aspect of the TopBrewer coffee machine, sometimes you need a stronger coffee on a Monday morning!
