Designing intelligent workplaces for over 30 years
Peldon Rose select premium TopBrewer coffee experience for office refurbishment project
Peldon Rose has been delivering first-class office design and refurbishment projects in London for over 30 years. So when it came to refurbishing its own offices in Wimbledon, the team were able to draw on extensive experience and expertise to create a ‘home from home’ workspace to be proud of.
With a culture very much based on family values, Peldon Rose opted for a residential-style design to create a welcoming, homely environment that is future-proofed to facilitate collaboration and smart working concepts. Throughout the 60 week Cat A + Cat B programme, the team unlocked extra space in their home at Sterling House to extend the building footprint to 11,000 sq ft over four floors.
Key facts
We have noticed that staff are more likely to relax and stay a while to chat over a cup of coffee to share ideas and collaborate, which is very important in our creative line of work.

Two TopBrewers at Peldon Rose
TopBrewer helps to create a streamlined look and feel
With its design-led, minimal aesthetic, the award-winning TopBrewer helps to create a streamlined look and feel to the kitchen area, leaving the worktop area clutter-free and the brewing equipment fitted in the cupboards below out of view. Peldon Rose opted for a classic stainless steel finish to the signature swan neck and accessories to complement the neutral, warm tones and straight lines of the space.
As the Ground Floor is also the main visitor and reception area, the TopBrewer also leaves a lasting first impression with clients and guests, providing a ‘wow’ factor and fresh coffee from the bean.
Unrivalled aftercare and digital services
Peldon Rose use CoffeeCloud to keep a digital track on TopBrewer’s performance and key drink trends and metrics. For example, CoffeeCloud shows that in the first 10 months, Peldon Rose consumed 26,900 drinks from its two units, with steaming hot water for tea being the most popular choice, accounting for 25% of drinks dispensed, followed by Americano, Flat White and Hot Chocolate.
From an operational perspective, Peldon Rose has been pleased with the service provided by the Scanomat team.
Aftercare from the TopBrewer team has been really good.
Creating a social hub with TopBrewer
The Ground Floor is affectionately known as the heartbeat of the space with a variety of meeting rooms and breakout spaces where staff can collaborate and work together away from their desks. The main social hub is a central family-style kitchen space where two TopBrewer coffee machines are installed to provide first-class premium coffee and beverages to staff and visitors.
The app-controlled TopBrewer is engineered around creating unforgettable coffee experiences, allowing users to customise drinks to their exact taste. Two specialty coffee blends are on offer at Peldon Rose to provide ultimate choice and customisation; Amokka Crema – a medium roasted 100% arabica coffee with a honey-like sweetness, and Italian Note – a dark roasted coffee with hints of vanilla and a nutty finish.
Key features
The quality of the coffee has encouraged staff to grab a coffee at the office rather than visiting local coffee shops, which is a great incentive for the team.
TopBrewer provides a wide range of barista-style, bean-to-cup beverages from a sleek swan neck tap, with the machine itself discreetly housed under the counter to provide a clutter-free service area.
Staff and visitors make drinks to their exact requirements through the iPad set into the worktop or through the app on their phone.
