We are excited to announce that TopBrewer will be featuring at the London Real Estate Forum on 11th & 12th June courtesy of Level39.
Level39, headed by Eric Van Der Kleij, was opened by Boris Johnson over a year ago and is a major technology accelerator based at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
Level39 have three TopBrewer’s installed in their offices and they are proud of their ‘iPad coffee machines’. In March, they kindly invited us to Mipim in Cannes as part of a four day event dubbed as ‘the world’s property market’. TopBrewer was hugely popular amongst the visitors and even Boris Johnson dropped by to try a latte.
The London Real Estate Forum, held at Berkeley Square in London, is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight from over 100 key decision makers involved in the development of London, with Boris Johnson and Eric Van Der Kleij amongst the list of headline speakers.
If you are heading to the event you will find TopBrewer on the Canary Wharf Group stand.
TopBrewer will be heading to Founders Forum on 12th June with Canary Wharf’s technology accelerator, Level39
Set up nine year’s ago by two massive entrepreneurs in their own right, Brent Hoberman (lastminute.com, made.com, PROfounders Capital) and Jonathon Goodwin (LongAcre, The Wireless Group, Lepe Partners, PROfounders Capital), Founders Forum is a series of global events for the leading entrepreneurs of today and the rising stars of tomorrow.
There are almost no speakers at the event as all of the attendees could all be speakers in their own right. The Forum is a platform to discuss, debate and innovate business and the future with a mix of extremely smart peers. Previous attendees include Sir Richard Branson (Virgin Group), Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Chad Hurley (YouTube) and a long list of other inspiring entrepreneurs.
TopBrewer will be proudly on show on the Level39 stand where guests can personalise their coffee with the TopBrewer app.
What is the first thing you do when you get to the office? For many of us the answer will be "Grab a coffee". We rely on a caffeine fix to get us through our working day, but quite often the office coffee solution is of a substandard quality, particularly if it is free or subsidised for staff, but it doesn't have to be that way - office coffee can be amazing!
Hugh Gilmartin, a leading coffee advisor in Northern Ireland and SCAE board member, hosted the discussion on “Delivering a quality coffee offering when it’s not your core business” in the Caffe Culture theatre on the Thursday of the show.

We are big fans of The Gadget Show at Scanomat HQ so we were thrilled when they asked us to be a part of the Show! As part of a Barista Challenge, headed up by Italy's Number 1 Barista Champion: Giacomo Vannelli, the TopBrewer was pitched head to head against a range of other coffee machines and Giacomo's own Barista talents.
This year's 86th Oscar's Ceremony gave us the glitz and glamour of the red carpet, amazing couture dresses, emotional speeches and sensational selfies - but behind the scenes is where the real action happened!
We were lucky enough to be part of the exquisite Architectural Digest Greenroom, designed this year by AD100 Architect David Rockwell.
The sumptuous space, designed as a retreat for Oscar-winning superstars, boasted a digital art installation of 86 screens (one for each year in the Academy Awards history), an outside garden area and... none other than a TopBrewer!
Watch the video to hear how David Rockwell created this amazing loft-style space!

Rugby Junior Tri Club has agreed sponsorship from locally-based Scanomat, home of the revolutionary TopBrewer - the world's first mobile or tablet activated coffee machine.
Junior Club Chairman John Austin said: "We are delighted to have Scanomat on board and the sponsorship received has meant we can subsidise the cost of our club tri suits, making them more affordable for members. Our club has nearly doubled in size, so to be able to do this is a fantastic boost."
Simon Bracken, Managing Director of Scanomat UK said: "Triathlon is a relatively new sport, it is great to be able to support such a thriving club and perhaps even some of our future triathlon Olympians. At Scanomat we pride ourselves on 'innovation not imitation' and I'm sure these youngsters will definitely take the sport to new levels!"
The TopBrewer from Scanomat is a truly innovative commercial coffee concept. The sleek and stylish coffee tap has recently won an iF Design Award, and the TopBrewer app is unique in that it allows users to customise their own drinks and save them as their favourite.
Triathlon is three sports undertaken as one - swimming, cycling and running - if you are interested in taking part more information concerning the club's adult and junior sections can be found at www.rugbytriathlon.org.uk. You can join in with the Junior Club at their Sunday training sessions at Rugby School and participate in any or all of the disciplines.
“Imagine if you could switch on the heating, close the blinds and even control what your children are watching on TV — all from the touch of a button on your iPad.
Today a London company demonstrated how it could be commonplace in the future by creating the capital’s ultimate techy home.
The Evening Standard was given a sneak preview of the two-storey showhouse in Fitzrovia, which cost £1.4 million to create and features about £500,000 worth of equipment. It has been created to show how technology can simplify people’s lives.
Everything — including music, coffee machines, CCTV, heating and cinema — is synced to a centralised system controlled from an app on a phone or iPad. To use it, owners select which room they want to control from a plan of the 4,000 sq ft house.
Touch screen: the creators say the iPad brand gives people confidence in the technology. It can be operated remotely, from work or when the owners are out, so they can see what is going on, prepare the house for when they get home or control what their children are watching on television.
The operating system was designed and created by home automation company Cornflake, which built the house as its showroom.
It also features pop-up TV screens, an iPad-controlled coffee machine, a revolving dance floor, a cinema, mirror TVs and the world’s first ultra-HD TV.”

The beautiful, patented stainless steel tap is designed to be built into any tabletop. The
simplicity of the Top Brewer fits in elegantly in the surroundings and takes minimum

The TopBrewer brews a perfect cup of coffee – every time - thanks to Scanomats
advanced brewing technology. The TopBrewer will be available in a Pro and Office model.
”We are the first in the world to have pioneered a coffee machine that is completely app
based. You connect to the machine via Bluetooth - and everything then just runs
smoothly. You can order your drink within 10-meter radius of the machine, and on the
display of your phone follows the status of the brewing - from grinding to the final
extraction process of your coffee. Within 15-25 seconds you can be enjoying your freshly
made drink”, says Project Manager Frederik Vibe-Petersen.
”You can even customise your drink on your iPhone and save it as your personal favourite
by easily & intuitively adjusting the parameters available for your selected drink, such as
strength, amount of milk foam, texture of foam, size of drink etc. As such you can always
have your favourite drink, no matter where in the world you are.”
Scanomat is presently launching the TopBrewer in Europe and the Middle East, and in a
few months in the USA.
