Oktra select TopBrewer for inspiring workspace and client showroom

Forward-thinking workplace fit-out specialists, Oktra have installed a stylish TopBrewer coffee machine for their new 9,500 square foot workspace, which also doubles as an innovative working case study of their services.

Completed in October 2015 and led by Oktra's Design Director, Nic Pryke, the new space on the first floor of 322 High Holborn has been designed to reflect the innovative solutions and services Oktra has to offer, as well as providing an engaging workspace for its 150 ‘Oktarians’, across its four sister companies.

The space includes everything you would expect to see in a modern and agile workplace, including an open-plan layout, a large break out area and a number of informal meeting spaces, giving staff the freedom and flexibility to choose where they work depending on their task.

Nic Pryke, Design Director at Oktra comments:

“The new office gives us the flexibility to work in different ways and embodies an exciting culture shift for us at Oktra. Many of our clients are going through similar cultural transitions so it is good for us to be able to share our own experiences.”

Nic adds:

“As workplace fit-out specialists it was important for us to ‘walk the walk’ when it comes to office design. The new space enables us to have a working showroom and includes the products we highly endorse so that our clients can see them in real-life and experience them for themselves before they buy.”

One of the products integrated into the large break-out space is the TopBrewer iPad-controlled coffee machine from Scanomat.

Simon Bracken, Managing Director & Co-Founder at Scanomat UK comments:

“With TopBrewer we have completely reimagined the coffee machine concept to allow designers, like Oktra, to create a central focal point based around the coffee experience. In the workplace, TopBrewer is ideally suited to agile working and break-out spaces as it can be incorporated into a central bar or island to create a social hub, whilst seamlessly complementing modern design.”

He adds:

“Offering a selection of premium drinks in the workplace is very important to staff wellbeing and the TopBrewer provides a wide range of fresh, quality drinks from its stylish swan neck, all fully customisable using the free TopBrewer app.”

Nic agrees:

“We know from our workplace consultancy work that coffee features high on the list of items that office workers rate in their workplace as important. A great coffee offering like the TopBrewer gives a powerful message to our team. It shows we value them – a message that is key to attracting talented people and retaining them.”

Simon comments;

“Oktra have created an incredible space at High Holborn which reflects the quality of their work and acute attention to detail. We look forward to working with the team at Oktra on future workplace projects.”
